Sam Goi has just enter a subscription agreement with Yamada Green Resources. Looking at the price trend of etika and JB Foods, better to take up positions quick.
Relaxing, whether those guys are contra or long term investors, they need to  get their heads examined! Buying at ++100%  is crazy just on news of Sam Goi buying a stake.Â
Joes – Though I have not touched S-Chips or pennies for abt a year , this can be interesting. In a market frenzy, crazy is normal. It’s the difference of opinions which makes the stock market interesting. Not vested.
Relaxing, I agree with Lim & Tan Securities report, which is copied here.
Yamada’s Founder, Chairman and CEO Chen QH sold 8.326mln shares via a married deal at 11.9 cents each reducing his holding to 236,518,023 shares (representing 56.82% of the company) yesterday and did not capitalize on the significant share price increase as a result of Sam Goi’s entry into the company.
Chen QH had transferred 40,270,000 shares as a gift to his business associates (You Jinyang and Loke Lim Thay) in July ’12 (when the stock was trading at around 17 cents) which reduced his stake to 244,844,023 (59% of the company).
Given Yamada’s significant 156% surge in share price
yesterday from Sam Goi’s entry cost of 11.9 cents against 88% for JB Food and and 125% for Etika and that Yamada’s 8x trailing PE is double that of its much bigger, more established and much more diversified peer (China Minzhong), we are downgrading Yamada to Take Profit/SELL.
Viviene, thanks for info. I seldom bother about S-Chips, esp those with less than 2 yrs SGX listing but I happened to study this counter a yr ago but decided not to buy for various reasons. So when the price shot up with 92m lots done, I got interested as I want to see how this counter will be played up short term and who will end up holding the baby ? Just my fascination with investor psychology. Am not vested as I don’t think it is necessary to take such risks in what appears to be a Bull run. At least don’t need to lose sleep if the market pulls back, which could be soon?
