It's difficult to be sure of Temasek's inclination to play a role in privatising Olam. U can't conclude it will happen just based on 1 case (Focus Media) which may have its own reasons for privatising which are entirely unrelated to Muddy Waters.

[MoneyWater 21-12-2012]:
Another MW's strong sell target Focus Media has decided to privatize its shares. The privatisation is carried out by a consortium which includes its founder, Jason Jiang, PE firm, Carlyle and some other investors. Maybe Temasek can do likewise for Olam
Hey guys, as I had half-expected, Olam would be privatised.
Offer price $2.23. Nice one babe.
Breedens Investments Pte. Ltd. (“Breedens”) today
announced that it intends to make an all-cash Voluntary Conditional General Offer
(“Offer”) for all shares in Olam International Limited (“Olam”), a leading global integrated
supply chain manager and processor of agricultural products and food ingredients,
supplying various products across 16 platforms in 65 countries.
Breedens, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore investment company
Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited, also intends to make an offer for the outstanding
convertible bonds and outstanding warrants issued by Olam.
Sounds fishy to me. Temasek only does things for two reasons - make money and do National Service. I don't have good vibes that it's to make money this time round. Just my 2 cents worth of opinion.
